         Hi! I'm a busy mom of four, originally from Colorado but I've called Texas my home since 2006. When I'm not juggling family life, you'll find me behind the chair doing what I love most- helping you feel confident and beautiful.

         I've been a stylist for over 12 years and have had lots of advanced training in coloring and cutting. My specialty is blonding, creating blended lived-in color, dimensional color and easy-to-manage styles that fit real life (because I know how busy life can be!)

           I believe your hair should be healthy, beautiful and make you feel like the best version of yourself. I can't wait to meet you in my chair

Hi! I’m Ashley Calhoun, a proud mom, big sister, and a hair-loving licensed cosmetologist with over 23 years of experience and passion in caring for all people and their individualized hair needs. I am the owner of the brand Beautified by AshC and a proud team member of Shear Charizma. I am skilled and experienced in maintenance, care and more for all hair types and textures. From straight to coily and fine to thick, my main goal when I got out of school was to be able to do anyone's hair that sat in my chair successfully! For the biracial community ( kids, ladies, and gents) just call me the mixed kids hair bestie! (adults welcome too!) I am skilled and experienced in mixed-textured hair helping each client learn how to care for their hair and embrace their texture with confidence! In addition, I also possess 6+ years of experience working with autism and special needs children and adults in a salon, school and clinic setting. So yes! I'm happy to service these friends as well. With services for women, men and children including precision cuts, silk press, relaxers, color, highlights, extensions and more. I make sure every client feels seen, understood, confident and fabulous! Standing on my motto : "Beautifying the world one head at a time!" allows me to use every appointment to help someone leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and renewed!​​

I’m continually expanding my skills through hands-on training in dimensional color, healthy-hair techniques, and the elevated guest experience Shear Charizma is known for. I love being part of a salon where education, creativity, and client connection are at the heart of everything we do.

With over 20 years of experience behind the chair, I’ve found my true passion in creating beautiful, confidence-boosting hair—and I’m so grateful to share and grow that passion through Shear Charizma.

I specialize in dimensional color and precision haircuts, with advanced certifications in Keratin treatments, color, extensions, and more. My goal is to provide every guest with a relaxing escape from their everyday routine, leaving you refreshed, confident, and radiant.

My journey began in Denver, Colorado, followed by time in Austin, before finding my home here in the Texoma area—where I’ve truly fallen in love with small-town charm and community. Over the years, I’ve worked in barbershops and full-service salons, managed and trained talented stylists, and even taught at Diamonds Cosmetology.

Launching Shear Charizma has been a dream come true—a space dedicated to providing exceptional service to our guests and creating opportunities for new stylists to learn, grow, and build their careers.

When I’m not in the salon, you’ll find me enjoying local festivals, live music, and treasure-hunting in antique shops around town.
